Stalingrad

Our Stalingrad Campaign has been in development and testing for over a year. It takes place during the 1942 German offensive of the city of Stalingrad, one of the deadliest encounters of the war. After an initially successful attack, the scattered and worn-down Soviet forces were able to successfully defend the city and defeat the German forces in a decisive victory.

The campaign plays out in the city of Stalingrad located on the west side of the Volga River. The campaign game uses Rapid Fire rules and has been balanced to produce narrow victories for either side, allowing tactical and strategic maneuvers, rather than sheer numbers, to decide the fate of the city.

For $20 you can purchase this WW2 miniature campaign game that contains both a five “day” and a 2 “day” campaign. Each “day” can be up to eight game turns.  The game can be put on with a minimal amout of terrain work and about 100 figures, and a few tanks and guns per side. Once you are familiar with the rules, you can play the entire campaign in about five 4 hour sessions.

Testimonial from the Germans:

Your two-day Rapid Fire game covering Stalingrad was the first time I had played in 15mm and it worked really well capturing the gritty feel of the legendary battle, which could have gone either way. In this case it came down to the final roll of the final turn. Unfortunately my Germans, as in real life were frozen out, but a great game none the less.

And from the Russians:

The Stalingrad 2-game series  around Pavlov’s House was extremely entertaining and engaging. Every action was like an investment waiting to yield victory or loss. Joe’s moderation of the session was even handed and unobtrusive, allowing all the players room to engage the game. It was tense to the very end, and embodied battle as one would think of in that city. Lastly, the terrain rocked.
